Guwahati : NIA, in collaboration with Assam Police's Special Task Force, dismantled an illegal infiltration network facilitating the entry of Rohingyas from Bangladesh into India. On Wednesday, a total of 47 middlemen were apprehended across seven Indian states, including Assam and Tripura. Among them, 25 were detained in Tripura, 5 in Assam, 9 in Karnataka, 3 each in West Bengal and Tamil Nadu, and 1 each in Haryana and Telangana. The authorities, with the assistance of border guarding forces, prevented the entry of 450 infiltrators, while specifically nabbing five individuals from Cachar district, Assam, who were arrested during the night of Tuesday and morning of Wednesday.
